Family Holiday Portraits

So I have this hobby which will hopefully become a career but in the meantime I am working on building myself up to more people and viewers  We are coming into the hoildays and I want to offer a family out there a FREE 1 hour session (print will be at extra cost). If you or anybody you know is interested please contact me at V3ro1ara@gmail.com in the subject line please put it under Blog Holiday Special.

Having a Wonderful BabyMoon

So we are at our pregnancy halfway point and we decided to take time off to have a little bit of fun and relaxation. We did a lot but I get tired often so we had to deal with my issues  We went and walked around Old Town Pasadena and the Americana in Glendale which was not really very impressive. We had lunch at this restaurant called Frida which was okay but the service was horrible, so beware. On Tuesday we went bowling at Anaheim 300 which was really fun and they have a great deal where you get a game, a drink and a plate of food and shoe rental for $12 which I thought for a "classy" (is that a thing?) bowling alley like them was great.
Wednesday was our big day and we went to our ultrasound appointment and saw our little GIRL moving around. The session was mainly to take measurements and make sure that the baby is growing OK. The technician was not able to give any results, though, so we have to wait for when we see the doctor so we can find out how she is doing. Afterward, we saw The Book of Mormon which was a fun and belly laughing show. We went during a daytime showing so there were a lot of older people and made it a bit awkward because it is extremely  vulgar but hilarious. We went to Disneyland on thursday and we have taken the rest of the week to do some fall cleaning and go baby shopping.
We went to LACMA
Disney New Land

Here to Expanding My Mind

I don't know if I have shared this before but I am a nail technician and today I am getting to learn how to do Rock Star nails. What are rockstar nails? Well, they are glitter nails that last up to two weeks and they can have different light effects to it; all done with gel. So I am super excited to go to work (even though I am on vacation) to learn some new techniques and being able to expand my knowledge and bring it back to my clients.

Congratulations we have hit our halfway point

Zuri's excited for her cousin
Hey everyone so on friday I hit 20 weeks so that means I have 20 weeks to go if I make it to full term. I begin to really get the depth of it all: my clothing doesn't fit at all if I even try and I can't imagine we will have an extra human making new memories with us. It truly is amazing and scary. I have been feeling her move so much it sometimes make me nauseous which I think is hilarious to me because I have never been a nauseous person. I am starting to eat full meals which is impressive because I have lost 12 pounds from being sick for the last 4 months but I am still tired. The worst part is the aches and pains. My back is feeling like it's being torn apart and my shoulder aches every morning and my right wrist feels numb but it all goes away when I feel her. If I can describe her movement it feel like every thump she make is connected to my heart. Tony has been amazing and I thank him for everything he does and apologize for being moody. So here are some pictures I hope you enjoy. Oh and I will be writing about our babymoon which has started today. YAY!

We are Expecting

So I have had this blog for a while but I initially based it on my photography. Well, things have changed. 4 months ago my husband Tony and I found out that we are having our first baby. So now I have been consumed with everything baby, which I love, and I have learned great things. I will be talking a lot about this bundle of joy as well as our experience before and after the baby is born. I appreciate the support and I can't wait to share all... well not all, but most.

We wanted to do something special so I invited my mom, sister in law and my niece to a 3D ultrasound appointment  It was pretty cool. We went into a large room with two different areas for seating where you could seat at least 20 people. Then, in  front the whole wall has a large white screen from ceiling to floor and you have about 45 mins and they show you the baby. I wasn't paying much attention to the large screen because i was talking to the tech., But Tony say that the baby was moving and i missed that. So for a while i was really worried the baby wasn't moving but a couple week later the baby was active which was so amazing.
Our baby was too small to see in the 3D ultrasound but we got a good sonogram:
This is @ 16 weeks
I still feel tired but I am a lot hungrier and still can't decide what to eat. I love feeling the little bubbles in my stomach the baby is pretty strong and to think it only the size of a bell pepper.
