Baby Shower

Saturday January 19th 2013 was our family and friends baby shower and it was such a fun day. I have so many people to thank but I am so grateful for my sister in laws Amanda and Lavina because this wouldn't have been such a beautiful day if it wasn't for these amazing women. Olivia will be so lucky to have them to look up to. Also my mom and dad are the best for making all the food and drinks; they are amazing parents. Here are some pictures of the day. Oh, and a thanks to Joseph for taking the pictures. Thank you for your friendship.

Hospital Visit

So on Monday we went to labor and delivery because I have been having pain in my abdomen but I had been having this pain for over a month. The thing is that on Sunday night I could not sleep because this pain started to wrap around toward the back of my ribs. So better to have been safe than sorry we went in and all the nurses were nice. I didn't expect to get into a hospital bed and strapped in to monitors which was okay because that fear of what is going to happen when my water breaks went away. So we just waited while they monitored the baby and figure out this pain.
I had an ultrasound to check what was causing this pain and had to take tons of deep breaths for them to figure out it gallstones. As I was getting back an amazing nurse Mary Maguire found me and Tony in our room and she was telling me that gall stones are common in pregancy and that I will have to lay off the greasy food because it's what is irritating my gall bladder which I am fine with but I need to stop watching food commercials because that is how I get my cravings going. Oh and we heard a little baby come into the world; it was super amazing hearing the cries. Anyways I have gall stones and now I have to diet and I am glad that I know our baby girl is okay and I just need to watch what I eat. I love everyone at parkview that I met on this last visit.

Nesting

So this next week we have a lot of activity in our household. My brother and sister in law have found a wonderful home and are moving out which make us sad but will allow us to work on the nursery for baby Olivia. I started to wash the babies clothing and putting them in their bins. Next I have to find a frame so I can put some art work up for her room. I will have actual pictures of what the room looks like before and after but here is what is going in it:
We got 5 of these in green and so far they are amazing and sturdy (container store).

New Year and New Journey

I have decided to make a New Year's resolution and it is to update my blog more often. I thought I would be better at it but I am not; so here is to updating.

We are closer and closer to our due date and I am pretty scared but I don't know what to pin point on what I am scared of most:.the delivery; just having a baby; or even not being alone ever again. When people say that even if your'e young or old you really are never ready for a baby emotionally I can now understand what they mean.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season. I know we had a good one spending it with our friends and family. January is coming by fast and we are completely booked up.
January calendar is filled with baby showers, maternity classes and packing my diaper bag/hospital bag. I may be late with it but I will post those pictures and what we learn.
